William Alphonse Gohier, age 92, of Cameron, NC, died Monday, October 10, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 19, 1923 to the late Alphonse Gohier and Adele Heineken Gohier.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Larsen Gohier. He was retired from the New York Telephone Company and served our country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by sons William Martin Gohier and wife Regina of Okemos, Michigan, Robert K Gohier and wife Patrice of Cameron, NC and Carl Gohier of Cameron, NC; daughters Christine McNeill and husband Ted of Sanford, NC and Cynthia Fore and husband Marty of Sanford, NC; one sister Elsie Carson of Sloatsburg, New York; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Lee Memory Gardens on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Mr. Jody McNeill officiating.  There will be no public visitation.
