Tommy F. Bridges

Tommy F. Bridges

Owner - Funeral Service Licensee

Tommy F. Bridges is a native of Lee County’s Deep River Township and a lifelong resident there. 

He began his work in funeral service in 1957 and is a 1960 graduate of The Cincinnati College of Embalming. 

He is married to the former Gail Smith, a native of Lee County, and they are the parents of two daughters, Stephanie N. Bridges & Anna Bridges Phillips and two grandchildren, Lydia & Eliza Phillips. They are members of Flat Springs Baptist Church in Lee County where Tommy serves at Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member.


Larry J. Cameron

Larry James Cameron is a native of Vass in neighboring Moore County and is a graduate of Cincinnati College of Embalming. Since earning his funeral service license in 1967, he has been a part of funeral service in Sanford. 

He is married to the former Kathy Byrd, a Lee County native. They are the parents of one daughter, Amy Cameron Cox who is married to Sanford native, Gerald Cox. They are parents of a son, Cameron Cox.


H. Russell Palmer

Herbert Russell Palmer is a native of Gulf in neighboring Chatham County where he still lives on ancestral land. 

He is a graduate of Cincinnati College of Embalming and is the elder statesman of funeral service in Sanford, beginning in 1956. 

He is a member of the Sanford Moose Lodge. 

He is married to the former Kay Schronce. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. 

He and his wife are members of Gulf Presbyterian Church where he serves as elder.

Russell has retired from the funeral home but would be happy to assist families through Central Carolina Monument Company.


Anna Bridges Phillips

Anna Bridges Phillips received her North Carolina Funeral Director License and Pre-Need License in June 2008. She is a 1987 graduate of Lee County Senior High School and a 1991 graduate of UNC-Wilmington with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, major Accountancy.

She earned a Diploma in Funeral Service Education with a concentration in N.C. Funeral Director from Fayetteville Technical Community College. In addition, Anna holds her N.C. Life & Health and Medicare Supplement & Long Term Care licenses.

She is a past-president of both Sanford Business & Professional Women and The Sanford Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (formerly, Life Underwriters).

She worked previously for BB&T Trust Division in Raleigh and Business & Estate Conservation, Inc. in Sanford, NC for ten years as the office manager and insurance broker.

Anna is a native of Lee County and resident of the Deep River Community. She is married to Charles B. Phillips and they are parents to Lydia Jane and Eliza Faye. They are life-long members of Flat Springs Baptist Church.


Pam Mosley

Funeral Director

Pam Dickerson Mosley was born in Panama City, Florida, but has resided in Sanford since 1986.  She graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College in December, 2018 with her diploma in Funeral Service Education with a concentration in NC Funeral Directing.  She joined the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home family in October, 2016.  Pam currently holds NC Life & Health and Property & Casualty licenses. 

Pam graduated from Vance Senior High School in Henderson, NC in 1979 and also attended Louisburg College.

She is a past board member of the Bread Basket of Sanford and is an active member of St. Stephens Catholic Church where she served on the finance committee.

She is married to Ricky Mosley and they have two daughters, Sara Mosley Britt and Emily Mosley Coggins.  They are the proud grandparents of Emma, Cora, Jackson and Miller.


J. Thomas 'Tom' Lawrence

J. Thomas "Tom" Lawrence

Funeral Service Licensee

J. Thomas (Tom) Lawrence is a graduate of Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science located in Atlanta, Georgia.  He is both State and Nationally board certified in Mortuary Science and has held a license in Funeral Service since 1987.

Tom retired in 2023 from the UNC School of Medicine, in Chapel Hill, as the Director of the Body Donation Program after 30 years of service.   Tom has been affiliated with Bridges – Cameron Funeral Home since 2017.

Tom is a native of Fuquay – Varina, North Carolina where he resides with his wife, Martha. They have 2 sons and a daughter in law.  He enjoys coin and vinyl record collecting.  In his spare time, he enjoys trips to the NC coast to fish.


Doris McRae

Doris Ann McRae has had an extensive career in the funeral industry since 1992, a fully licensed funeral director and holding an Associate’s Degree in Mortuary Science. After retiring from a 16-year tenure as Regional Manager for Great Western Insurance Company in 2019, she transitioned to Bridges-Cameron, focusing on funeral preplanning to aid families during difficult times. Originally from Mississippi, Doris has resided in North Carolina since 1994. She is an active member of Peak City Church in Apex. She is married to Duncan McRae and cherishes time with their four children, Jim (Jill), Bob, Mandy, and Cole (Hillary) and grandchildren, JD, Abby, Kaitlynn, Dylan and Margo. Enjoying meals with loved ones is among her favorite pastimes.

James Dean

James Dean

Staff

James J. Dean was born in Lee County. He is married to the former Connie Lankford. James has three children, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. James is retired from U. S. Airways where he was a pilot. James and Connie are members at Grace Chapel where he serves as an Usher and former Sunday School Teacher, and AWANA Program Director.  He is a past School Board member at Grace Christian School. James has been with Bridges-Cameron since 2003.


Billy Douglas

Billy R. Douglas resides in the Jonesboro Township of Lee County. He is retired from the City of Sanford Revenue Department with 30 years of service.  

He began his work with Bridges-Cameron in 2002 on a part time basis. He and his wife Vickie are members at Swann Station Baptist Church where he is active on several committees as well as a deacon and choir member. 

Bill is married to the former Vickie Hickman also of Lee County. Bill graduated from CCCC with an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting and Campbell University with Bachelor of Arts Degree. He loves to go fishing at the river in his spare time.


William L. Griffin, Jr.

Funeral Service Licensee

W illiam L. "Bill" Griffin, Jr., is a native of Chatham County and resides in Pittsboro. Bill attended UNC-Chapel Hill and is a 1963 graduate of Gupton College of Mortuary Science in Nashville, TN.

Following graduation he joined his father and uncle in the family business - Griffin Funeral Service, Inc. in Pittsboro. 

After his father's and uncle's deaths in 1973, he became owner/manager until 1997. He then served in a part-time basis until 2010. 

Bill is a member of Pittsboro Baptist Church and a member of Columbus Lodge 102, AF & AM. 

At present Bill is a musician-singer with Front Porch Ministry, a gospel band.


Johnny L. Sellars

Johnny L. Sellars is a native of Lee County. He is retired from the City of Sanford Police Department. with thirty years of service.

He began his work in funeral service at Bridges-Cameron in 1995. 

He is a 1966 graduate of Sanford Central High School. Johnny is married to the former Patricia Roberts of Harnett County. They have one daughter, Stephanie. Johnny is a member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church where he is president of The Presbyterian Men and is an Elder of the church.


Ricky Mosley

Ricky Mosley was born in Vance County, but has resided in Sanford since 1986. Ricky received his Associates of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Vance-Granville Community College. 

He retired in April 2009 from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol after 30 years in law enforcement. 

Ricky is married to Pam Dickerson Mosley and they have 2 daughters, Sara and Emily. He and his family are active members of St. Stephen Catholic Church.


Kay Kelly

I was born in Lee County and graduated from Broadway High School.  I married Ronald Kelly in 1968.

We are proud parents of three children.  Our oldest, Rhonda is married to Greg Sloan.  Kim is married to Casey Hearn and our son Kevin married Annette Spivey.

We are blessed with six awesome grandchildren; Joe and Sam Hearn, Satchel Sloan, Brooklyn, Mason and Brody.

I retired from Lee County Schools as a nurse in 2007.  We attend Rocky Fork Church for 50 plus years where I serve a Sunday School Teacher, member of Church Board, Elder, Youth Leader, and sing in the choir.

I have been working at Bridges-Cameron since 2017.


Rev. Robert C. Thomas

Rev. Robert Currie Thomas is a native of Broadway, NC and is married to Susan Gross Thomas.  They are parents to Shannon Thomas Godfrey, David Thomas, and have four awesome grandchildren.

Robert graduated from Broadway High School in 1973 and is a graduate of Carolina Bible College in Fayetteville.  Robert is retired from the North Carolina Forest Service. He is currently the Pastor of First Congregational Church in Sanford.  His favorite hobby is playing his guitar and singing.

Robert has been working with Bridges-Cameron since September 2014.


Roland Armstrong

I grew up on a Farm in Western Iowa.  I Spent 22 years in the United States Air Force – flying 19 years of it.  I spent 16 years as a truck driver for a 76 Distributor in Napa, California, RV’d off and on for 9 years and moved to Sanford in October 2005.

I joined Bridges-Cameron in October 2017 and I am a member of Grace Chapel Church.


Vicki Glaze

Vicki Glaze

Office Manager

Vicki is a native of Elyria, Ohio but has been a resident of Sanford, NC for 26 years.  She and her husband, Ron, relocated to Sanford in 1994 when he accepted a manager's position at Moen, Inc.

Vicki recently retired from Carolina Women's Health Center (Sanford) after 25 years of service.  She and Ron have two children and one grandson.  They attend church at Community Congregational Church in Southern Pines.
