Mrs. Marie Marsh Johnson, age 73, of Cameron, N.C., died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at her home.

Mrs. Johnson was born on Oct. 17, 1941, in Lee County, N.C. to the late Henry C. Marsh and Versie Venable Marsh.  She was a member of Red Branch Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, James Wayne Johnson; a daughter, Jeanette Johnson Blakeley and husband Timothy of Cameron, N. C.; a son, James Wayne (J.W.) Johnson, II and wife Erin of Harrisonburg, Virginia; sisters, Ruth Marsh Dix of Wade, N.C., Carol Marsh Loving of Cameron, N.C., Inez Marsh Butner of Sanford, N.C., seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at 3:00 P.M. at Red Branch Baptist Church, 1748 Old River Road, Carthage, N.C. with Pastor Scott McInnis officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
