Mr. Edward Lee Thomas, age 87, of Sanford, N.C., died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Durham, N.C.

Mr. Thomas was born on March 20, 1928, to the late Allen Jackson Thomas and Marion G. Thurston Thomas.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Jerri Self Craig Thomas, and by two sons, Dale Thomas and Tim Thomas both of Sanford, N.C.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Chapel Church with Rev. Joel Murr and Rev. Robert Yandle officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service.
