Betty Joyce Harrington Baxley passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 16, 2017 at Central Carolina Hospital surrounded by her family.

Betty was born in Lee County to the late George Vernon Harrington and Betty Mae Stone Harrington.  She was also preceded in death by her brother George Vernon Harrington, Jr.  

She is survived by her son Charles Vernon Baxley, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; brothers John Gordon Harrington (Moe), James Walker Harrington and girlfriend, Elsie, Bobby Wade Harrington and wife Jackie, Kenneth Wayne Harrington and wife Sadie Ruth, Glenn Foster Harrington and wife Wanda, Larry Rae Harrington and wife Doreen; sisters Bonnie Mae Sutton and Patsy Louise Harrington.
