Shirley Ann Hall, age 78, of Sanford, NC, died Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at her home.

She was born in Moore County to the late Alvy Lester Hall and Effie Bennett Hall.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Alvy Gray Hall, J.W. Hall, Royce Hall, Carl Hall, Max Hall and sisters Rena Tillman, Edith Flynn, Clara Cole, and Vera Sloan.  Shirley retired after 36 years of service for Nationwide Insurance and later retired from the NC Joint Underwriting Association. Shirley attended Mars Hill College and was a long-time member of Tramway Baptist Church and a member of the Tabernacle Sunday School Class.  Shirley was an avid UNC Tar Heel basketball fan.

She is survived by sister Mary Wall of Cameron and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 15, 2016 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and the funeral service will be Saturday, July 16th at 2:00 PM at Tramway Baptist Church with Dr. John Allen officiating.  Burial will follow at Lamm’s Grove Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tramway Baptist Church Building Fund, 2401 Old Jefferson Davis Hwy, Sanford, NC 27332.
