John Michael “Mike” Yarborough, age 64, of Sanford, NC, died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at his home.

He was born in in Lee County to John M. Yarborough and Maxine Coggins Yarborough of Sanford.  Mike worked in their family business Yarborough Brothers Welding until their closure then worked as a self-employed welder with Yarborough’s Welding.  He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Wicker.

In addition to his parents, Mike is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Creech Yarborough; daughters Michelle Yarborough, Melanie Yarborough; brother Mitch Yarborough and wife Lorrie; sister Lisa Black; brother-in-law Jody Wicker; three grandchildren Brittany Pope, Logan Yarborough, Sailor Patterson; and one great-grandchild Bristol Pope all of Sanford.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be Wednesday, October 5th at 11:00 AM on the family farm Iron Gait Stables, 1438 Hickory House Road, Sanford, NC 27332, with Rev. Bob Yandle officiating.
