Gerald Allen Godfrey, age 53, of Sanford, died Friday, June 24, 2016 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC.

Mr. Godfrey was born in Lee County, on Nov. 1, 1962, to the late Jack Miller Godfrey and Betty Key Godfrey.  He worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Arauco Company.

Surviving relatives include his wife Wanda Cummings Godfrey of the home; a son, Nathan Godfrey of Sanford; a daughter, Kristen Godfrey of Sanford; a brother, Randall Godfrey and wife Phyllis of Sanford; sisters, Jackie Godfrey Dove of Sanford and Sherri Dawn Godfrey of Sanford; a grandchild, Landen Godfrey.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2016, 4 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Pastor Vernon Riggins presiding.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 2PM to funeral hour on Tuesday at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
