Willie Floyd McGee

Willie Floyd McGee, age 70, of Broadway, NC, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 , surrounded by his family.

He was born in Columbus County, to the late Willie Dexton McGee and Iris Hayes McGee.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother William Lloyd McGee.  Floyd was a truck driver and served his country in the US Army National Guard.

Surviving relatives include his sisters Alice Smith and Sammy of Fuquay-Varina and Tina Eckenrode and Kenneth of Lillington; nieces Mandy Smith of Smithfield, Casie Goode of Holly Springs, and Jessie Eckenrode of Lillington; great nephews, Samuel Goode and Smith Goode both of Holly Springs and great Nieces, Madison Miller of Raleigh and Maisy Miller of Smithfield; and a granddaughter, Whitney Hines of Sanford.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, 11AM at Crossroads Ministries.  A celebration of life will follow at Crossroads Ministries 12 Noon with Pastor Chris Pipes officiating.  Burial will follow St. Andrews Presbyterian Church cemetery with full military honors.  In lieu of flowers, please give to Military Missions in Action at 411-B North Judd Parkway, NE, Fuquay-Varina, NC  27526.
