William Leonard (Len) Lassiter, Jr

William Leonard Lassiter, Jr. “Len” , age 64, of Cameron, NC, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at  his home.

He was born in Lee County on January 4, 1960 to Sylvia Teal Lassiter and the late William “Bill” Lassiter, Sr.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his loving and faithful wife, Sandra “Sandy” Patterson Lassiter; aunt and uncle, Dot and Poppy Cameron and very special cousin, Tony Cameron.  Len worked as an auto body technician for many years. He enjoyed NASCAR, watching westerns, oldies radio and tinkering on his collection of El Caminos.  He cherished the time spent with family and close friends.  Len will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, Sylvia Lassiter of Sanford, Len is survived by his son, William Shane Lassiter and wife, Shelley of Killeen, Texas; special grandson and his little buddy, William Grayson Lassiter and two step-grandchildren, John Dalton Wright and wife, Anna Kay of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Katelin Leighanne Roberson and husband, Tanner of Molina, Florida.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held at Buffalo Cemetery on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mike Horton officiating.
