Wiley Odell Spindle

Wiley Odell Spindle, age 91, of Sanford, NC passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Coleman, OK on April 20, 1933 to the late Gavin Spindle and Maple Mays Spindle.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joan Elizabeth Spindle.

Wiley was a member of Lillington Lodge 302. He proudly served his country, in the United States Air Force, with dedication and honor. He had a love of the outdoors and enjoyed working with his hands, whether through gardening, landscaping, or other hands on projects.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his son Gary Olen Spindle of Sanford, NC; brothers Carroll Spindle, of Ector, Texas; Truitt Spindle, of Wills Point, Texas; sisters Helen Chesser, of Telephone, Texas; Shirley Acosta, of Irving, Texas.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hillmon Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend  Wayne O’Quinn officiating, with Military Funeral Honors.
