Wendy Kay (Johnson) Ayers

Wendy Kay Johnson Ayers, age 58, of Sanford, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at her home.

She was born in Lee County to Lois Thomas Thompson and Larry Johnson.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ervin and Erma Thomas and Lacy and Gertrude Johnson. Wendy worked at Challenge Printing for many years.  She enjoyed football, racing, trips to the beach and fishing.

Wendy is survived by her mother and stepfather Lois and Ray Thompson; father Larry Johnson and other special family members.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Terry Pleasants officiating.
