Vivian Honeycutt, age 79, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 at UNC Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC.
She was born in Lee County on October 18, 1946 to the late Edward Harris Honeycutt and Inez Dickens Honeycutt. A woman of deep faith, Vivian shared her love for God in many conversations, always offering encouragement and kindness to those around her. She found great purpose in lifting others up and reminding them of God’s goodness. Vivian never met a stranger — every person she encountered became a friend. Family was her greatest joy. She loved gathering everyone around the table, where her delicious meals and warm laughter made every occasion special. Her famous chocolate pie was a family favorite—made with love and always served with a smile.
She is survived by her children Jean Williams (Mark) of Sanford, Thomas Patterson of Cameron, Daniel Patterson (Donna) of Sanford, George “BJ” Hensell of Sanford and Jacob Hensell (Autumn) of Sanford; siblings Edward Harris Honeycutt, Rufus Honeycutt, Beatrice Heath, Shelby Smith, Cathy Knapp, Margaret Burgess and Opal Kelly; grandchildren Meagan, Morgan, Austin, Sydney, Madison and Paige and great-grandchildren Evelyn, Aviah, Adalynn, Kennedy, Kimberly, Elijah, Hudson and Jake.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 9:30 AM until 10:20 AM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 10:30 AM with Pastor Nate Marriner officiating.
