Veronica Jamerson Domingues, age 70, of Sanford, passed peacefully Saturday evening, May 30, 2026, surrounded by her family at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

She was born on November 2, 1955 to the late James Arthur Jamerson and Leithia Cordelia Lawson Jamerson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by granddaughter Christy, four sisters and four brothers. 

Veronica was a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church.  Her relationship with the Lord was embedded in every aspect of her life. Bold in her faith, she never missed an opportunity to share the love and grace of the Lord with others, especially her family. More than anything, she desired for those she loved to know the Lord personally. She was a true prayer warrior, faithfully lifting up her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and countless others in prayer.

Family was one of her greatest blessings and joys. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nothing brought her more joy than having everyone gathered together. An exceptional cook, she expressed her love through meals shared around the table. Her family will forever cherish those exceptionally special days, the delicious food, and  memories created together.

No matter what challenges she faced, her response to family, friends and strangers was always the same: "I am blessed and highly favored."

She is survived by her husband of 38 years Omar; daughters Rhonda Cooper of Broadway and April Whitaker (James) of Sanford; sons Joshua Domingues (Veronica) of Sanford, Moises Delacruz of Sanford, Joseph Delacruz of Sanford, David Beaman “DJ’ of Sanford and Damian Gregory (Leigha) of Broadway; brother Johnny Jamerson (Tracy) of Cameron; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Calvary United Pentecostal Church with Pastor T.J. Byrd officiating.  Burial will follow in Johnsonville Church of God Cemetery.
