Velma (Warren) Beal

Velma Beal, age 83, of Sanford, NC, passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Central Carolina Hospital.

She was born in Danville, Virginia on September 11, 1936 to the late Roy Gaston Warren and Constance Cuddy Warren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by spouses Norman L. Reid and Carl E. Beal; two brothers and one sister.  Velma was a longtime member of Grace Chapel Church.  After her retirement from the restaurant industry, she enjoyed spending time at the beach and enjoyed taking cruises with her family and friends.

Velma is survived by sons, Jeff Reid and wife, Karen of Sanford, Chris Beal and wife, Lorie of Sanford; daughter, Karen Seymour and husband, Andy of Sanford; brother, Gene Warren of Ohio; sister, Sue Whitaker and husband, Pete of Sanford; grandchildren, Josh Seymour and wife, Sydney, Morgan Seymour, Kirsten Watson and husband, Matt, Jana Reid, Avery Beal, Raymond Pritt and Brandon Pritt; great-grandchildren, Payton Seymour, Reid Watson, Liam Watson and Iris Pritt; a special friend of sixty years Nellie Gillis and Velma's pup, Ming.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Grace Chapel Church from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.  The memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Joel Murr officiating.
