Van Edward Sharpe

Van Edward Sharpe, age 73, of Sanford, NC, died Monday, August 3, 2020 in Ohio while doing what he loved.  Van was an owner/operator truck driver for over 50 years.

He was born in Lee County, NC on July 5, 1947 to the late Ben Joe Sharpe and Mary (Mae) Frances Gilmore Sharpe.  Van was one of ten children; brother Frankie Sharpe also preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Linda Cox Sharpe; daughter Rebecca Medlin and husband Sonny Baltin of Sanford; grandchildren Haven and Salem Baltin; sibling Becky Kelly, Deanna Valle, Donna Bryant, sister-in-law Mary Sue Sharpe, Frances Kelly and husband Donald, Jenny Kennedy, Patty Stone and husband Jimmy, Jackie Tart and husband Larry and Benny Sharpe.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Swanns Station Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Blackmon officiating.  Please practice social distancing and wear your mask.
