Tony Ray Brown

Tony Ray Brown, age 57, of Sanford, NC, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his devoted family.

He was born in Lee County, NC on June 10, 1963 to Warren Ray Brown and Doris Marie Godfrey Sheffield.  His mother preceded him in death.  Tony was a hardworking Christian family man who loved his family more than anything.  He grew up attending Central Baptist Temple and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing at the coast and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his father, Warren Ray Brown and wife Gail; wife Jill Herring Brown; children Colton, Savannah and Cooper Brown and brother Rodney Brown and wife Jeannine all of Sanford; and many extended family and close friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 18, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church.  The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Darin Vogt, Pastor Jason Dowdell and Mr. Jerry Atkins officiating.
