It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tommy Wallace, who passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at FirstHealth Hospice House in West End, North Carolina, at the age of 78.
Born on July 21, 1947, in Sanford, North Carolina, Tommy was the son of the late Thelma and David Wallace. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nora Faye Wood Wallace, and his siblings, Carolyn Wallace, Ted Wallace, and Donnie Wallace.
Tommy is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Wallace (Lee); granddaughters Alyson (Mike), Kaila (Heath), and Madison (Andy); great-grandchildren Shelby, Teagan, and Morgan, with another great-grandson on the way; siblings Naomi Cotten, Patricia Wallace, Larry Wallace, Vickie Hickman, Phillip Wallace, Elton Wallace, and Jimmy Wallace; and many special nieces and nephews.
Tommy was a loving father, husband, brother, uncle, Pawpaw, and friend. Known for his mischievous grin and sense of humor, he loved making others laugh. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, tinkering in his shed, listening to the Swap Shop, watching NASCAR on Sundays, cooking for family and friends, and spending time with his loved ones. Known for his open-door policy, there was always room at Tommy's kitchen table.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Laurels of Chatham and FirstHealth Hospice House for their compassionate care.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 19, 2026 from 2:00 PM until 2:50 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Michael Matson officiating.
Tommy's love, laughter, and memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
