Thomas Scanio Obituary

Thomas Alvin Scanio, age 81, of Sanford, NC, formerly of Tampa, FL, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Central Carolina Hospital.

He was born in Hillsborough County, FL on July 31, 1939 to Alfonso and Aurora Scanio. Tom grew up in Tampa and graduated from Jesuit High School. He graduated from the Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, FL and was an extremely gifted professional artist. His work was remarkable in portraiture and landscape. Tom and his wife Jackie just recently relocated to Sanford, NC.

Tom is survived by his wife Jackie Thomas Scanio and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Blount and Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories at the mausoleum, Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM.
