Susan Kay (Mitchell) Hodges

Susan Kay Mitchell Hodges, age 74, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 at SECU Jim & Betsy Bryan UNC Hospice Home.

She was born in Newport News, Virginia on November 30, 1945 to the late John Baptist Mitchell and Kathleen Womble Mitchell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Lee Hodges and brother Steven Ray Mitchell.  Susan retired from Central Carolina Hospital where she worked in the Dietary Department as a supervisor. 

Susan is survived by her sons David Chandler Hodges and wife Crystal of Sanford and Derrick Lee Hodges and wife Tina of Harrisburg, NC and grandchildren Logen, Zachary, Zoey, Kalyn and Khloe Hodges.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Lee Memory Gardens with Dr. Calvin Sayles officiating.
