Stacy Clifton "Clif" Holland Jr.

Stacy Clifton “Clif” Holland Jr., age 72, of Sanford, NC passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Harnett County, NC on August 5, 1947 to the late Stacy Clifton Holland and Frances Maybelle Barbour Holland.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jackie Holland and sister Janice Holland Baine.  He was a 1965 graduate of Erwin High School. Clif was a member of Grace Chapel Church and worked 35 years at Winn Dixie Grocery Store where he retired as a Department Manager. Most people remember Clif as their favorite Meat Cutter. He was an amazing cook, an avid hunter, fisherman and coach.  He coached baseball when his girls were young.  Clif’s greatest love was his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Smith Holland; daughters Stephanie Holland Kirk and husband  Kyle of Pinehurst, NC, Sherry Lynn Morrison and husband Michael of Naples, FL; brother Rev. Donald Holland and wife Brenda of Snow Hill, NC; sisters Connie Gainey of Dunn, NC, Dorothy Keen and husband Ronald all of Erwin, NC; and grandchildren Rilee Morrison, Taylor Morrison, Sloan Morrison, Holland Kirk, Abigail Kirk, Jeremiah Kirk and Zane Morrison.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 29, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Chapel Church with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joel Murr and Rev. Donald Holland officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
