Shirley (Willett) Faulk

Shirley Willett Faulk, age 89, of Sanford, NC, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation.

She was born in Lee County on February 27, 1935 to the late Robert Willett and Ottie Cole Willett.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Jones Faulk; grandchildren Jennifer Lynn Faulk, Jessica Leigh Faulk and siblings Charles Willett, Albert Willett, Bertha Gaines, Louis Willett, Eula Bullard and Monroe Bullard.

Shirley attended Greenwood School and was a long-time member of Grace Chapel Church and was a member of the Annie Belle Registry Sunday School Class.  She worked many years for the Food Mart in Tramway.  She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  Shirley was an amazing cook and enjoyed working in her yard.  She was a beautiful example of a Proverbs 31 Woman. 

She is survived by her sons Carl Wayne Faulk (Patricia), Robert Faulk (Shelly); grandchildren Daniel Strother (Chanda), Abby Faulk Grant (Topher), Macy Faulk, Cole Faulk; great-grandchildren Heaven Godwin and Carlie Faulk.

A graveside service will be held at Buffalo Cemetery on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Estes and Mr. Travis Corley officiating.  There will be no formal visitation.
