Shenna Ann Wilson Warren, age 70, of Carthage, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Salem County, Virginia to the late Daniel Wilson and Ruth Bausell Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Roxanne Morgan.
Shenna dedicated much of her life to serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a profession that was far more than a job—it was her calling. She had a natural gift for caregiving and took great pride in providing comfort, compassion, and support to those in her care. Her kindness and dedication touched countless lives throughout her career before her retirement.
She found joy in crafting. Known for her outgoing personality and outspoken nature, she never hesitated to speak her mind and stand up for what she believed in. She brought energy, laughter, and honesty to every room she entered. Her vibrant spirit, warm heart, and unwavering authenticity made her unforgettable to all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, the memories and moments we shared with her will live on in our hearts.
Her meals not only filled stomachs but also warmed hearts, and everyone looked forward to her famous banana pudding. She found joy in doing simple, thoughtful things for others and was always there to listen, offering love, encouragement, and support whenever it was needed. Holidays were especially meaningful to her, bringing family and cherished traditions together. She loved tending to her plants and garden, spending peaceful moments sitting on the porch, and enjoying a late-night cup of coffee while watching the I.D. Channel. Some of her happiest memories were made around the kitchen table with her grandchildren, laughing, talking, and enjoying each other's company without a care in the world.
Those left to treasure her memory are daughters Donna Barnes of Sanford; Tonya Harris (Nikkia) of Carthage; brother Marko Wilson of Salem Virginia; sister Kathleen Griggs of Sanford; bonus daughter Jillian Bond-Doring of Nashville, TN; grandchildren Kasadee Austin, Kaleb Morrill, Analise Linford and Chyanne Harris and great-grandchildren, Adalynn Britt, Brantley Harris and Aurora Harris.
A private service will be held at a later date in Lee Memory Gardens.
