Shelia Diane McNeill

Shelia Diane McNeill, age 59, of Garner, NC, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025.

She was born in Lee County on January 11, 1966 to Willis Blue McNeill and the late Faye Beal McNeill. 

Shelia received her bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and was an avid Wolfpack fan and supporter. She was the Vice President of Default Management for the State Employee’s Credit Union. She had 36 years in the banking industry, where her integrity, professionalism, and dedication made a lasting impact on her colleagues.

She deeply loved her family, always putting the needs of her loved ones before her own. She loved animals. Her grace, and selflessness lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Shelia is survived by her father, Willis Blue McNeill; brother Chris McNeill; nephew Glen McNeill; niece Heather McNeill; great niece Alice McGee; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Edgewood Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM. Other times at home of Willis McNeill 2618 Andrews Drive, Sanford, NC  27332.  The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Sara Martin and Mr. Jody McNeill officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church cemetery.
