Sharon Elizabeth Ann (Cartwright) Treadway

Sharon Ann Treadway of Sanford, N.C. passed away peacefully at home on Saturday April 19th 2025.

Sharon was born in Columbus, Ohio and was preceded in death by her brothers Donnie (Lynn) Cartwright, Jimmie Cartwright, sister Donna Jean Cartwright Jackson and her husband of 62 years, Jack Lee Treadway who just passed this last February.

Jack and Sharon raised their 3 boys on a farm in Ohio where they taught them good values and provided a very loving home.

Sharon was a beautiful vibrant woman who loved life. Sharon enjoyed traveling, taking care of her horses, and sewing. Sharon was always ready for an adventure rather it be a day at the mall just shopping or sailing the seas.  Sharon and her husband Jack Treadway made several achievements. In 1985 they opened a chain of pawn shops in Tampa, Fl. In the early 90's they bought a ranch in New Mexico and raised Quarter horses to race at Ruidoso downs. In the 2000's they moved to Ocala, FL. where they continued to raise and race horses. Recently they moved to North Carolina to be closer to family.

Sharon will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a wonderful person who loved horses, nature, and spending time with her family.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her sons Greg Treadway (Colleen) of Sanford N.C., Shawn Treadway (Cara) of Tampa Fl, Glen Treadway (Ann) of Pensacola, FL; Grandchildren Amber (Jason) Schmidt, Wes Ward, Josh, Shane (Rachel), Alissa, Gregory, Faith, Matthew, Megan, Stephen, Shawn, Tyler, Ashley and Liam Treadway; Great grandchildren Kylie Ward, Lily and Tommy Treadway.

A memorial service will be held at the Bridges & Cameron funeral home chapel on Saturday May 3rd at 2:00 PM with Reverend Bill Altman officiating.
