Sandra "Sandy" Kathleen (Lynds) Scott

Sandra Kathleen Scott, (Sandy), age 80, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Elderberry Health Care in Marshall, NC.

She was born in Joplin, Missouri on July 19, 1943 to the late George H. Lynds and Lillian Gernandt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Allen Leder, and a daughter Marilyn Milligan.

Sandy was a talented artist. Her co-artistry is visible on the “Dairy Cow” Murial Outside Yarbrough’s Homemade Ice Cream & Grill. She loved to paint, sew and sing in the church choir at Rocky Fork Christian Church. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.                           

She is survived by her husband Perry Scott; daughter Renee Scott (Stuart); son Don Leder; brothers, Gary Lynds, Don Horner and sister Sue Hales.  Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Fork Christian Church. with Pastor Misty Mowrey Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends will be received following the committal service in the Fellowship Hall.
