Sandra Dale (Hilliard) Kelly

Sandra Hilliard Kelly, age 68, of Cameron, NC, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at her home.

She was born in Lee County on May 10, 1956 to the late Roland Henry Hilliard and Bessie Mae Godfrey Hilliard.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marshall Ray Kelly, Sr. 

Sandra worked many years as a Pharmacy Technician at Medicine Shop and owned and operated the Cameron Race Way.  She enjoyed watching East Sanford Bapist Church services on her TV every Sunday and Wednesday.  She loved her cat “Baby” but more than anything she loved watching her grandchildren.  Her last grandchild, Ava, became her special little friend.  Granny will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She is survived by children Danielle Orman (Brian) of Thomasville, Michelle Wood of Sanford, Marshall Ray Kelly, Jr. (Corie) of Cameron; siblings Glenn Hilliard (Myra) of Stedman, Janice Brogden (Richard) of Sanford; grandchildren Whitney Hines, Cody Orman (Brooklyn), Mikayla Calcutt, Gabrielle Orman, Alexander Hale, Wyatt Orman, Natalie Hale, Avery Bryant (Connor), Ava Kelly and three great-grandchildren Malin Bryant, Roman Bryant and Colter Alford.

The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of East Sanford Baptist Church on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary with Rev. Robbie Gibson officiating.  Burial will follow at Rocky Fork Christian Church Cemetery.
