Sadie Cleona (Williams) Bunch Moore

Sadie Cleona Williams Bunch Moore, age 96, of Sanford, NC passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Westfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side.

She was born in Harnett County, NC on December 23, 1927 to the late Lonnie Lloyd Williams and Maggie Gay Cooper Williams.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Wilbur Edward Bunch; second husband Bruce Moore, Sr.; brothers Robert Williams, Jack Williams, Franklin Williams; sisters Gladys Cox, Pearl Wicker, Mollie Stack and Eva Ersel Williams.  Cleona was the last of her siblings.

Cleona is survived by her daughters; Dale Bunch, Eva Bunch Searle both of Sanford; granddaughter Chelsea Alston (Keith); great-grandsons Kash, Karter and Karson and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a loving member of Jonesboro Heights Baptist Church and the Agape Sunday School Class.  She worked years ago at the Chowan Hospital in Edenton, NC.  Cleona enjoyed Saturday night dances at the Lee County Enrichment Center.

The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM with Mr. Jody McNeill officiating.  Burial will follow at Jonesboro Cemetery beside her first husband, Wilbur Bunch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.

The family wants to thank those who gave wonderful care to their mother including Westfield Nursing & Rehab Center, Dina who was her special caregiver, Liberty Hospice and her special roommate Virginia Dale Arnette.
