Sadie Ruth (Watson) Bass

Sadie Ruth Watson Bass, age 88, of Sanford, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Central Carolina Hospital.

She was born in Scotland County to the late Edward Watson and Fannie Buchanan Watson, In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth Wayne Harrington; several sisters; daughter-in-law Rose Bass and two sons-in-law Robbie Page and Larry Combs.  Mrs. Bass didn't venture into the work force, instead devoting herself to home and family.  She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who never met a stranger. 

Sadie is survived by her children Bobby Lee Bass, Annie Ruth Lawrence (Dale), Joyce Ann Page; Sarah Frances Combs; Charles Thomas Bass (Pamela) and Sandra Jean Bass (Ninfa Gonzalez); brother Ed Watson, Jr. (Debbie); 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held at Poplar Springs Methodist Church on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Fallon Melvin officiating.  Burial will follow in church cemetery.
