Ruth Donathan Obituary

Ruth Hazel Baker Donathan, age 89, of Sanford, NC, died Saturday, June 27, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Harnett County on December 26, 1930 to the late Burtis Baker and Nannie Thomas Baker.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Coolidge Donathan; a daughter, Gaynelle Donathan; an infant daughter and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Donathan is survived by her son Michael Donathan and Patricia of Sanford; daughters, Diane Tillman, Debbie Cox and Wayne, Bonnie Davis and Keith, and Tammy Baker and Billy all of Sanford; a brother, Pastor Ralph Baker and Marquetta of Sanford;  sisters, Irela Love and Marie Cox all of Sanford; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be held Monday, June 29, 2020, at Full Gospel Assembly with Pastor Ralph Baker and Travis Corley presiding.  Burial will follow at White Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  Due to the Covid 19 restrictions no formal visitation will be held.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN  38105, or Full Gospel Assembly Church, 5905 McDaniel Dr, Sanford, NC  27332.
