Rusty Lee Stone

Rusty Lee Stone, age 36, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Moore County on January 31, 1982 to Billie Lee Stone and Connie Bowlin Stone. Rusty was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ernest and Elsie Stone; maternal grandparents, Bernie and Dorothy Bowlin; three uncles, Ricky Bowlin, Paul Bowlin and Bernie Bowlin, Jr. and two very dear friends, Scotty Allen and Dwayne Smith.   He was a skilled auto mechanic and took great pride in his work.   

Rusty is survived by his father, Billie Lee Stone and Carolyn Thomas; mother, Connie Bowlin Stone and Mitch Black; his children, Aden, Allie and Alyssa Stone and their mother, Laura Stone of Seven Lakes; sister, Kelley Stone of Colville, Washington; aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Chris Christensen and family; aunts, Shirley Childress and family and Wanda McLamb and family; niece, Kaedyn Matherly; special friends, Sandra Keifer, Pat Campbell and Andy Lee and family.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kent Miller officiating.  The family will receive friends at the home of Billie Stone 506 Sheriff Watson Road, Sanford, NC 27332.
