Ruby Diane (Crutchfield) Howard

Ruby Crutchfield Howard, age 73, of Cameron, NC, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Moore County to the late Willie Mack Crutchfield and      Dollie Mae Lewis.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband William L, Howard.

Ruby was a full-time beautician; she was also an Instructor of Cosmetology at Central Carolina Community College, Sanford School of Cosmetology, and Pinecrest High School.  She was a member of the Sanford Ladies golf league, and enjoyed a good round of golf, Sanford Moose and VFW. She loved dancing (Shagging) to beach music and was a Member of the Sanford Area Shag Club ( SAS).  She had a bigger than life personality and loved her family. She will be missed greatly by anyone who knew her. She is survived by her daughters Tammy Bishop (Tim) of Sanford; Lori Howell (Phillip) of Goldston; sister Darlene Wilkie (Jerry) of Goldston; brother Ron Crutchfield of Arizona; grandchildren Ben Bishop, Jerrica Bardwell, Hailey Howell, Tuck Howell. great-grandchildren, Axel Bardwell, Knox Bardwell.

A Funeral service will be held Monday, May 13, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church (396 NC-42 Goldston, NC  27252) with   Charles Daniel officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:30 prior to service at the church.  Burial will follow at Jones Chapel Church Cemetery.
