Rosella (Todd) Harrington

Rosella Todd Harrington, age 94, of Fuquay-Varina, formerly of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Windsor Point Retirement Community surrounded by her family.

She was born in Lee County on July 24, 1927, to the late John Edward Todd and Rosa Matthews Todd.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by loving husband of 71 years, Johnnie Harrington; siblings, Henry Todd, James Todd, Willie Todd, Samuel Todd, J.E. Todd, Eddie Todd, Eva Jordan, Lizzie Mann, Joyce Arnold and Sallie Jordan.

Mrs. Harrington worked for W.R. Hartness, MD for many years and was a member of Jonesboro United Methodist Church for over 80 years. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother.

She is survived by son, Troy Allen Harrington and wife, Julie of Durham; daughter, Sarah Harrington Mitchell and husband, Willard of Willow Spring, and one grandchild, Parker Harris Harrington and wife, Emilee of Alabama.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Jonesboro United Methodist Church with Rev. Trent Jones officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 1:00PM to 2:00 PM in the Wesley Center.  Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Jonesboro United Methodist Church, 407 W. Main Street, Sanford, NC 27332.
