Roger Edward Beal

Roger Edward Beal, age 79, of Sanford, NC, died Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Lee County, NC on July 13, 1940 to the late Garland Forrest Beal and Maggie Bell Oldham Beal.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Norman Tull Beal, Herman Leroy Beal, Betty James Kroninger, and grandson Jeffrey Dean Steele.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Ebling Beal; children Garland Scott Beal of Sanford, James Jeffrey Beal of Sanford, Donna Jean Parks and husband Robert of Pittsboro, Wendy Diane Loconto and husband Michael of Raleigh; step-children Donna Marie Bradford of Raleigh, Frank Bradford Tibbitt and wife Susan of Virginia Beach, VA, Shari Lee Chufo of Raleigh; sisters Marilyn Sehen of Sanford, Bobbi  Jean Stone of Cameron; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Roger served our country in the United States Marine Corps and was a Tool & Die Supervisor for Saco Lowell, Siemens and GKN before his retirement.  He also taught tool & die classes at Central Carolina Community College.  Roger was an avid golfer and UNC Tarheel Basketball fan.  He loved his family with all his heart.

The family will receive friends and family Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Michael Bass officiating.  Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens with military honors.
