Robert "Bobby" Edward Beal, Sr., age 64, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at his home.
He was born in Newport News, VA, on June 5, 1962, to the late Billy Russell Beal, Sr. and Virginia Irene Adams Beal. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Billy R. Beal, Jr.
Bobby was a dedicated truck driver who spent many years on the road, taking pride in his work and the people he met along the way. He had a special love for dogs, which brought him great companionship and joy throughout his life. In his free time, he enjoyed vacationing in Maggie Valley, where he cherished the beauty of the mountains. He was also an avid fan of NASCAR and rarely missed a race.
Above all, Bobby loved his family. He treasured the time spent with those he cared about most and will be remembered for his devotion, kindness, and the many memories he created with his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Beal; his son, BJ Beal (Caitlin); his sisters, Lisa Crabtree (Jon) and Peggy McInnis (Rowdy); his grandchildren, Virginia Beal, Hailey Crabtree, and Jaymee Crabtree; and Randy Baker (Angela), who was "like a brother" to him.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 1:50 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor Bobby's life will follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Wesley Thomas. Interment will follow in the Morris Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Lee County Animal Shelter, 1450 N. Horner Blvd., Sanford, NC 27330, or to The Good Samaritan Fund at Carolina Veterinary Hospital, 1515 Broadway Rd., Sanford, NC.
