Robert Earl Reynolds

Robert Earl Reynolds, age 79, of Broadway, NC, died Saturday, June 13, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Anson County, NC on December 12, 1940 to the late Nathan Howell Reynolds and Nora Belle Meachum Reynolds.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Gary Brooks and Junior Wooley and very special four-legged friends “Pee Wee” and “Sam”.  Robert was born in Anson County but grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Candor High School in Montgomery County.  He played high school football and drove a school bus. Robert later earned his Associates Degree as a machinist from Richmond Community College.  His favorite pastime was fishing with his family, especially his son and helping neighbors.  He could fix anything and loved helping his family and neighbors with projects around their houses.  He will be missed.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jane Miller Reynolds; son Robert Earl Reynolds, Jr. and wife Allison of Apex, NC; brother Nathaniel “Bill” Reynolds and wife Laura of Norman, NC; sisters Carol Blake and husband Richard of Southern Pines, NC, Ina Brooks of Ellerbe, NC; granddaughter Sarah Katherine Reynolds and his faithful four-legged companion “Sally”.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Nathaniel “Bill” Reynolds officiating.  A private burial will follow at Broadway Town Cemetery.
