Rev. Robert Reid Yandle

Rev. Robert Reid Yandle, age 87, of Sanford, NC, passed away, Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Central Carolina Hospital with his family by his side.

He was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on October 31, 1935 to the late Amos Blair Yandle and Mary Helms Yandle.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Casey Yandle, Marshall “Buster” Yandle, A.B. Yandle, Jr. and sisters Ethel Y. Hayes and Frances Y. Rice.

Rev. Yandle served our country in the United States Air Force and was a loving Pastor for 14 years at Grace Chapel Church.  He also pastored at Glendon Christian Church, Green Pond Baptist Church (Alabama) and Ensley Community Church (Alabama).  Rev. Yandle was interim pastor at several churches.  He loved his church families and was loved by them.

He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Jeanette Helms Yandle; son Tony Yandle (Diane) of Sanford; daughters Karen Coggins (Scott Reichert) of Clifton, NJ and Beth Walton (Russ) of Sanford; sister Sarah “Dolly” Blair of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren Nathan Harris, Cameron Coggins, Amanda Jones, Adam Perrell, Alec Perrell, Anna Perrell, Bricy Munoz; great-grandson Eliott Jones and other extended family.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 24, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 25th at 1:00 PM at Grace Chapel Church with Rev. Robbie Yow, Rev. Robbie Gibson and Dr. Royce Baker.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
