Rebecca Yvonne (Ray) Biggins

Rebecca Yvonne Ray Biggins, 75, of Goldsboro passed away at Wayne Memorial UNC Healthcare, Goldsboro, NC on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.  She was born in Cumberland County, NC on April 26, 1950 to the late Neill Duncan Ray and Minnie Mae Strickland. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Pickard, Glenda Fay Ray, brother Carl Ray.

Yvonne dedicated her life to her family, children and grandchildren. They were her passion.  She had a quiet strength and gentle spirit that touched everyone. She loved traveling to the beach and the mountains.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, John J. Biggins of Goldsboro, sons Michael Biggins ( Lori) of Goldsboro; Brian Biggins ( Jennifer) of La Grange; daughter, Toscha Tate of Vass; sisters Barbara Garner of Cameron, Debbie Smith (Terry) of Vass; grandchildren, Shawn Biggins, Brandon Biggins, Sarah Tate, Noah Tate, Miles Biggins, River Biggins. Great grandchildren, Kaiden Biggins, Chloe Biggins, and numerous  nieces and nephews .

The family will receive friends at Hillmon Grove Baptist Church on Friday May 23, 2025 from 2:00 - 2:50 PM The Funeral services will follow at 3:00PM with Reverend Wayne O’Quinn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
