Ray Walker Backlund, age 72, of Sanford, NC, died Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Moore County, NC to the late Ray Kenneth Backlund and Anna Walker Backlund. Ray was a machine operator for an injection molding manufacturer. He was an Eagle Scout and a United States Army Veteran.

He & I were members of Troop 986 & Explorer Post 986, Sanford, NC BSA. We also enjoyed squirrel hunting & archery. I’m sorry we didn’t get to spend much time together in our adult years, but many fond memories. My sincere condolences to Ray’s family.

After many years of not seeing Mr. RAY,It was a privilege and a welcoming site to meet back up with him in the ladt few years.
