Rasma Poisha Grigorjeva, age 84, of Sanford, formally of Riga, Latvia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home.
She was born in Latvia to the late Ludvigs Poish and Zelma Gravistis Poisha.
Rasma was a very positive person during her life. She knew how to grieve and she knew how to enjoy life’s moments. Rasma will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and faithful servant. She was a woman of strong principles and believed in the power of education and hard work, values she not only lived by but instilled in those around her. She often reminded her children and loved ones to “finish the task or job placed before you”—a saying that became a guiding truth in many lives.
Rasma set a standard in which every woman should strive towards – because she was the Wife and the Mother. Her home was always open, her hands always ready to help, and her words always rooted in kindness and encouragement. She loved the Lord with all her heart and served faithfully in her church, touching many lives through her ministry, acts of service, and deep spiritual guidance. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Aleksandrs Grigorjevs; daughters Antra Zarina of Riga, Latvia and Rita Mashburn of Sanford and three grandchildren Zelma Mashburn, Mikus Zarins and Atis Zarins.
Kā Rasma teiku: ‘Dievs vadījis ir visu mūžu!!!’”
