Randal "Randy" Lee Paschal

Randal “Randy” Lee Paschal, age 67, of Cameron, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at UNC Healthcare in Chapel Hill, NC. He was born in Lee County, NC, on September 30, 1957, to the late Nathan E. “Ed” Paschal Sr. and Betty Blakeley Paschal. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, John Warren Paschal and Nathan E. Paschal Jr.

Randy retired as Fleet Maintenance Superintendent with the City of Sanford. He honorably served his community as a firefighter with both the Northwest Pocket and Lemon Springs Fire Departments. Whether he was under the hood of a car or helping someone in need, his passion and generosity were unmistakable. His favorite phrases—“Do I have a deal for you?” and “It’s for the children”—were delivered with a smile that let you know he wasn’t just selling raffle tickets. To know him was to know selflessness, humor, and a deep commitment to others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 21 years, Beverly Bullard Paschal; daughters, Kerri Paschal Wright (Michael) of Sanford, Amy Marie Keister (Don) of Sanford, and Elizabeth Brooke Barnes (Chris) of Sanford; his brother, Michael Paschal (Linda) of Sanford; grandchildren, Riley Gray Wright, Christopher Keister, and Jacob Keister; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. The funeral service to celebrate Randy’s life will be held on Thursday, July 3, at 3:00 PM at Rocky Fork Christian Church, with Travis Corley, Gary Ashley, and Jonathan Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
