Peggy Teal Obituary

Peggy Ann Riddle Teal, age 88, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at FirstHealth Hospice House in West End, North Carolina.

She was born in Lee County to the late Judd Riddle and Nina Riddle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Riddle and sister, Letha Elizabeth Riddle Goldberg, both of Sanford, and a very good friend, Ronnie Spivey.

Peggy graduated from the North Carolina School for the Deaf in Morganton, North Carolina. She worked many years as a seamstress in the textile industry. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and fishing trips to the North Carolina Coast.

She is survived by her son, Danny M. Teal and wife, Wanda and one granddaughter, Ashley Teal, all of Sanford, North Carolina.

In keeping with Peggy’s wishes, there will be no home visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the FirstHealth Hospice House, 251 Campground Road, West End, NC 27376 and/or NC School for the Deaf, 517 W. Fleming Drive, Morganton, NC 28655.
