Peggy graduated from Greenwood in 1954 and then attended Watts Nursing School from 1954-1955.  She worked for Dr. Mary Margaret McLeod, Pediatrician, for 16 years as a nurse.  She was known and loved by all who called her, “nurse Peggy”.  After Dr. McLeod’s retirement, she kept some of her grandchildren.  Peggy and Jimmie were involved in the Gideon Ministry since 1983. Over the years she and Jimmie purchased and distributed thousands of Bibles.  She would place Bibles in doctor and dental offices, hospitals, and would give Bibles to graduating nurses.
