Pearlie Mae (Holder) Bowden

Pearlie Mae Holder Bowden, age 94, of Sanford, transitioned from her earthly home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Emerald Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Lee County on October 24, 1930 to the late Malcom James Holder and Emma Adell West Holder.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, James Haywood Bowden and numerous brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Bowden worked many years in manufacturing.  She was a woman of quiet strength and deep faith, she lived her life with grace, humility, and a heart devoted to serving others. Mrs. Bowden served faithfully beside her husband in ministry for many years, offering wisdom, compassion, and unwavering support to their congregations and community.

She is survived by her son Charles Robert Bowden and wife Sylvia of Sanford; sisters Rebecca Norris and Linda Bradley; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert Thomas officiating.  Burial will be in Lee Memory Gardens.
