Obarr Lane Woolard

Obarr Lane Woolard, age 67 of Carbonton, NC, passed away on August 26, 2024 at UNC Hospitals with his family by his side.

He was born in Chatham County on June 27, 1957 to the late Clingman Woolard and Margie Paschal Woolard. Lane was a man of many talents and skills. He worked alongside his father for many years in the cattle and farming business and had a variety of jobs in his older years, but Lane’s passion was working for the Lord. You could find him serving his church, going on mission trips with his church or wife Donna, serving at Bread of Life in Sanford, or helping a friend or neighbor in need. Lane had a beautiful singing voice and never missed an opportunity to sing with his family and friends or in the church choir.

He was a loving husband to Donna, a dedicated son to his mother Margie, a wise and gracious stepdad and father in law, and a patient and generous grandfather to his four grandchildren.

His life was truly lived for the Lord, and his legacy of loving and serving others and sharing the Gospel will live on in the lives of those who loved him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Donna Denesuk Woolard; children Hannah Paschal Keller (Andrew), Nicholas Paschal, Michael Paschal (Geneieve), Tal Paschal and four adoring grandchildren, Gracie, Noah, Elaina, Johnny; and brother Jon Lee Woolard.

A funeral service will be held at Cool Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Burris officiating on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery with light refreshments at the family home directly after for friends and family who would like to gather there.

There will be no formal visitation, but you are welcome to visit the family at the family home. Lane will lie-in-state at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home from Wednesday, 1:00 PM till Friday, 11:00 AM.
