Norman Fore Saunders (“Butch”)
Norman Fore Saunders, lovingly known as “Butch,” of Sanford (Jonesboro), passed away peacefully at his home June 22, 2026.
Born in Pensacola, Florida, Butch moved to Sanford (Jonesboro) at the age of three months and remained deeply connected to the community throughout his life. He was the beloved son of the late Lola Saunders.
Butch was preceded in death by his mother, grandmother, Doll Fore; his grandfather, Dolly Fore; his daughter, Patricia Vestal and grandson, Noah.
He will be remembered for his devotion to family, and the friendships he formed throughout his life. Having spent nearly his entire life in Sanford, he leaves behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He was an avid Tarheel fan and loved his Alma mater, Campbell University.
He is survived by wife, Kathy, daughter Karen Burrus (Charles), grandchildren Jack Burrus (Lindsay), Katie Vestal, Sarah Vestal and son in law, Dan Vestal.
There will be no services at this time.
