Nicole “Nickie” “Kiki” Carter Trembley, age 41, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at her home.
She was born in Lee County on June 13, 1980 to Stanley David Carter and Kathleen Spivey Darnell. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Ronnie Gib and Sylvia Spivey; maternal great-grandparents Earl & Mae Spivey and paternal grandfather Herman Lee Carter, Jr. Nicole attended Central Carolina Community College where she excelled and served as an ambassador. She graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Magna Cum Laude. Nicole was employed at Persistent Systems. Nicole touched many lives. She was a devoted friend to many and was loved by all.
Nicole is survived by her parents Stanley David Carter and wife Gail, Kathy Spivey Darnell and husband Steve; her beloved children Julian Reece Trembley and Riley Madison Trembley; fiancé Brian Boisvert and his children Brian Jr, Zachary and Eliza-Jane; ex-husband Bobby Trembley and his fiancé Lisa Ember; grandmother Ruth “Nanny” Carter; brother Roc Carter and wife Candice; sister Natalie Freeman and fiancé Matthew Adams and their child Braydon Adams; step-sister Ashley Knight and husband Josh; aunt Faith Butler (Sissy) and husband Johnny; cousin Lindsay Gilstrap and husband Ken and their son Dylan and best friend Brandy Morrison.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Tramway Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Dr. Gary McCollough officiating. Burial will follow in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
