Nellie (Waddell) Wilson

Nellie Waddell Wilson, age 87, of Sanford, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Westfield Rehabilitation and Health Center.

She was born in Lee County on December 24, 1935, to the late John Waddell and Addie Page Waddell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her loving husband William Alvin Wilson and brothers James Waddell, Alfred Waddell, M.Q. Waddell, Owen Waddell and E.C. Waddell and sister Frances Angel.  She was a homemaker. 

Mrs. Wilson is survived by two sisters in law Mary Frances Waddell (Owen) and Phyllis Waddell (E.C.) and several nieces and nephews who she loved as her very own.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and other times at the home of Randy and Tommie Angel, 3321 Cemetery Road, Sanford.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dave Kenney officiating.  Burial will follow in Jonesboro Cemetery.
