Minnie Lee (Hall) Holder

Minnie Lee Hall Holder, age 103, of Sanford, NC, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Lee County, NC on October 12, 1918 to the late John Wesley Hall and Daisy Godfrey Hall.  In addidion to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Holder; daughters Carolyn Holder and Frances Eastridge; sisters Jessie Tedder, Ruby Parris, Vallie Mae Clark Godfrey; half-sister Maxine Wiliford; brothers Donnie Hall, Cornelious Hall, and Robert Lester Jones; grandchildren Carol, Nancy and Lisa George; step-grandson Tommy Eastridge and step-great-grandson Adley Eastridge; and son-in-law Herbert George.

Minnie is survived by her son-in-law James “Jim” Eastridge of Sanford and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

In her younger years, Mrs. Holder was a faithful member of Flat Springs Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was involved with all church activities. Since 2004 Minnie was a member of the Sanford Church of God.  She was a loving tobacco farmer’s wife and was an excellent cook with a kind spirit.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 14, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sanford Church of God with the funeral service following at 7:00 PM with Rev. Mike Horton officiating.  The burial will be held Saturday, Jan.15th at 11:00 AM at Flat Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
