Milton Owen Rose

Milton Owen Rose, age 70, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at his home.

He was born in Durham County on January 31, 1956, to the late Junnie Milton Rose and Mattie Beatrice Nowell Hurley. Milton had unwavering faith and found great purpose in sharing the message of Jesus’ love with everyone he met. He never met a stranger.

A lover of music, he found joy and comfort in song. Whether listening quietly or sharing that joy with others, music was a constant source of peace and inspiration throughout his life.

Above all, Milton was a generous giver. He gave freely of his time, love, and resources, always putting others before himself. His kindness and compassion were evident in every act.

He is survived by his brother, Mark Rose (Nicole), of Sanford; sisters, Linda Rose of Raleigh and Kathy Harrington (Stan) of Sanford; and several nieces and nephews.
